Okay, so perhaps this isn't the most flattering of outfits.
I know I could have easily worn a simple A-line or 50s silhouette skirt and a nice delicate blouse and instantly appeared 10 lbs lighter. But lately I've been more concerned with fulfilling aesthetic urges rather than flattering my body shape, which is probably really stupid and kind of defeats the purpose of fashion (which, at least in part, is meant to celebrate and flatter the human form), but I just really really like big chunky shapeless sweaters, no matter how unflattering.
Also, I'm going to start wearing more platforms. And I mean platforms, not wedge heels. Like, straight out of the late 90s platforms. I almost broke my neck at least 3 or 4 times while wearing these, but I think it was worth it.

No! I love love love this AND think it looks flattering AND comfy looking.
ReplyDeleteyou look so great in light colors, adore the shoes too
ReplyDeletei love the look! the mix of knitwear is awesome, and those shoes are too cool!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's unflattering at all! Were the shoes that hard to walk in? I'm awful at walking in heels, I was looking at those thinking maybe they wouldn't be too bad! They look wonderful anyhow.
ReplyDeleteHahaha...I know the inclination to wear unflattering things - I'm pretty into it myself. But fashion isn't just about flattering the human form, it's about using the human form as your canvas, and sometimes the most beautiful things aren't necessarily comforting...
ReplyDeletethose shoes are wicked.
ReplyDeleteha I love ugly pretty things too.

Chunky sweaters are universally flattering!! No one can know what lurks underneath them, so people just have to assume we all have rockin' bodies. That's why I like chunky sweaters anyways..hehe. And you look great. I love the shorts with the layered sweaters. Its a nice proportion.
ReplyDeleteI really like the double sweaters in this outfit! You look super comfy, but also cute.
ReplyDeleteI love how you combined the two kinds of knit here! Really unique and daring outfit-I like it!
ReplyDeleteThe neckline is seriously amazing <3 <3 <3 and I LOVE the rolled sleeve! You always get it so perfectly!

I really love this outfit, whether it's 'flattering' or not!! I always have this debate with myself - I'll love how something looks, but it's not always flattering on me, so I don't know whether to wear it or not. I also love your shoes, they are amazing!! I adore platforms at the moment =D
ReplyDeleteFollowing you now =)

I think everything is fitting you perfectly in there, the jumpers superposition (genious!) is maybe not showing your body in the most sexy way but contrasted with the great tight short (what is this fabric? it kind of obssess me!)that show your legs... you have a great outfit here!
ReplyDeleteQue bonito look.
ReplyDelete:D Muy cómodo.

ReplyDeletei'm really inspired by how well you style basics. those shorts make your legs look quite long and is very flattering. nothing says winter like cozy knits...enjoy them while you can.
