YEEHAW

Please don't even dare think that this is a denim jacket. I can see how you would think it might be like a light wash denim because of the lighting, but it's totally not. It's actually a mint green heavy linen jacket with wooden buttons. So much more interesting than denim!
The cameo brooch I'm wearing is one of my new favorite things. I've always wanted to wear brooches but didn't think they really meshed well with my style. I've fallen in love with this one though. I bought it over winter break at With Lavender and Lace, an adorably perfect vintage store that my new friend, Kelsie Mcnair recently opened in Norfolk. If you're ever in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, you must be absolutely certain you stop in. Or/and visit her etsy shop or blog, both of which are rad.

SRSLY whenever i think I have a favorite look you slap me in the face with another one that is AUHMAZEZZING This is the coolest non demin jacket ever.
ReplyDeleteps I wish I could rock your pioneer woman bun as well as you...I just look like a 6yr old version of me via ballet class :/
Damn girl that jacket is rad! Once you start with brooches you definitely don't stop. A few years ago I never thought I was a brooch person until one day I bought one and now I am the proud owner of approximately a bajillion brooches. They go with everything and people love to make grandma comments without them which is always a bonus in my eyes...I mean, most of my clothes are pretty grandma tastic and I'm pretty sure that's what makes them awesome. Cool blog dude!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit. At first glance, I was hoping the broach was a punk-rock pin but the broach is lovely. Very jealous that you can wear linen in January...

ReplyDeleteglad you did a close-up to clear up this confusion, def more original & cooler color than a denim jacket (which certainly aren't bad to begin with). The brooch is adorable & def fits your vintage style : )
