On a separate note! This is what I wore yesterday.
I love site analytics because they tell you about things you just never would have found otherwise. Well, a week or two ago I saw that there was a fair amount of traffic coming from a Russian website called Buro 24/7. I went to the page and found that they had done a surprisingly large feature on La Belle Oiselle, and I had no idea about it.
I google translated it, which was predictably entertaining (my favorite sentence: "In our opinion, direct demeanor and fun bun on top of doing Julia Topaz worthy of attention.").
On J:
shirt:: thrifted (also worn here)
scarf:: thrifted (also worn here)
skirt:: second hand via Rumors Boutique (also worn here)
tights:: grocery store
shoes:: thrifted (also worn here)
bag:: inherited from mother (also worn here here here here here here)
I love the scarf, and the feature of "also worn here". I think its good that people think you've only worn it once though, because it shows you make it unique with every outfit! :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
ReplyDelete*MICROPHONEHEART.
I thought your last post was refreshingly honest! Hey its your blog, others don't have to agree all the time! Anyway, I think this is one of my most favorite outfits from you ever!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I am in love with your denim shirt and your scarf!

Great outfit. Your last post was spot on and I'm sure your honesty has won you many new fans (myself included).

:-)
I'm always a sucker for a denim and leather combo. You outfit looks great! Congratulations on your feature! Girl, you deserve it!
ReplyDeletegreat outfit!
ReplyDeleteEres hermosa y me encanta tu estilo.
ReplyDeleteY tu forma de escribir.
:) Un beso.
love that skirt and how you styled that cute little scarf
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog and I loove this outfit! very simple and easily remixed. Also, don't worry about what readers say. You can't please everyone, and you can't hold your tongue to make the kind of changes that you'd like to see. Just make sure your words are followed by actions, that's all we can do!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to have an article written about you! A bit strange that they didn't contact you to let you know though ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a very cute way to wear a scarf too.
I just read your last post and I don't have comment to make one way or the other but I do like to read bloggers' genuine opinions and you shouldn't apologise for posting (unless what you say was misconstrued).
it's so courageous of you to click on a russian link ahha--not to stereotype but in my past experiences usually it's just spam! anyway i just think the way you tied your scarf is super creative and ingenious, and that you look fab, as always.
ReplyDeletei suppose some dissent is to be expected. i do hope that when the spirit moves you, you do voice your thoughts and emotions without reservation. congrats on the feature it was great to see so many of your outfits side by side. love the scarf/tie
ReplyDeletei love, love, love how you tied your scarf. adorable.
ReplyDeleteon a more serious note, with regard to your apologetic explanation, it is gracious of you to explain your perspective and your state of mind at the time; the beauty of blogs is being able to publish our thoughts, our secrets, our ideas, even if transient and not steadfast, even at the expense of, potentially, others' ideals and thoughts, to the point of offense. the beauty of free speech! anyway, please, keep writing and sharing, and though we should be cognizant and respectful of others' opinions and sensibilities, let free speech reign.

Haha I've never had the thought that you only wore your clothes once. What's the point in that? That's pretty cool that you had such a large feature on a Russian website.
ReplyDeleteDAG GURL, u famous! I agree with some other comments, you are refreshingly honest!
ReplyDeletePlus never wear anything twice? I think they just got lazy in their writing a put up a bunch of fashion cliches to fluff up the article, and didn't necessarily do their research..., but we all do that every once and a while. ;)
this might be one of my all time favorite outfits of yours :) and more power to you for being bold enough to say what you really think. we sugarcoat too much, too often
ReplyDeleteah ah ah Yes yes it is completely possible to wear the same clothes twice and even 6 times!
ReplyDeleteAnd Bravo for this look, i love!
Bye bye
sorry my english is limited
I love your photos! What camera do you use! Also, the skirt is perfect! It's a lot like one I own, but mine is much longer. Wish it was the same length as yours!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm curious to read this scandalous post you wrote!
