Big ol' cashmere coat! Got it for $15 in the vintage section of my favorite thrift store. I felt kind of short wearing it,
1. because it's so so long! and
2. because I am short.
I considered wearing a bit of a heel to offset this, but I prefer to emulate a Depression era gentleman-in-the-park (as ever), instead of, y'know.. a contemporary twenty-something female . Also, I think it's important to note that
1. The loafers are velvet, so that makes them my new favorite shoe and
2. It's not immediately apparent, but I'm definitely wearing two different socks. How did I not notice this?
3. And please excuse the lovely layer of dog hair on the trouser. Must stop wearing so much wool.
Oh my god, I am so full of excuses and rationalization today. That's it! I will no longer justify myself. accept me for me, guys, aCcEpT Me FoR mE

ReplyDeleteYou inspire me to break out my thrifted trousers like those and actually wear mine! Sometime within the next week I'll do that! I completely understand the dog hair thing though so I don't judge. The minute I walked downstairs today I was covered in white hairs from my dog.
ReplyDeleteI love this coat, and I adore this outfit. I just recent;y discovered you blog, and I absolutely love your style!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love the subtly mismatched socks, ; ) Also, my trousers are covered in cat hair today. AND you remind me a bit of Withnail from Withnail and I in this outfit. Google him! But you are cleaner. : )
ReplyDeleteI really love that last picture, your outfit is so prefect!
ReplyDeleteHAHA, i love the mismatched socks! I always LOL at your captions...
ReplyDeleteIf you were gonna be sporting different socks I'd just go ahead with the depression era theme. Too soon to make a joke of that? ...Anyways, I really love the dapper look of this outfit. The turned up cuffs on your pants and the hat! Loving it.
ReplyDeleteYou make that trench look so un-creepy! I've always thought trench coats were the creepiest piece of clothing but you've proven my theory wrong. I love those shoes. Ooh. And your trousers.
ReplyDeleteThe outfit is just perfect!
